Why I Drink Reishi Coffee
Reishi is a superfood ingredient that has been scientifically studied and used to boost immunity, decrease inflammation and pain, enhance workout recovery, support overworked adrenals, improve thyroid function, prevent and fight cancer, slow the aging process, protect the liver, and reduce symptoms and side effects of a number of diseases including but not limited to diabetes type 1 & 2, fibromyalgia, Hashimoto’s, IBS, PCOS, and RA.
Ganoderma lucidum, often called Reishi, the powerhouse of mushrooms, has been used for over 2,000 years to support a healthy immune system. Ganoderma is also an adaptogen, meaning it adapts to give your body exactly what it needs, bringing it back into balance to function optimally. If you need more energy, Ganoderma will boost your energy. If you need to calm down, it will provide a calming effect. Because Ganoderma is an adaptogen, it can be something different for everyone’s unique needs.

How to Get The Best Ganoderma Into Your Diet
With millions of Ganoderma products out there it can be hard to know which one is actually worth using. I have purchased Reishi from several herb and tea companies and when I got around to trying them, the taste put me off. In my research I also discovered that most Reishi is grown artificially—in plastic bags which means there’s a possibility of toxicities. Kinda defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?
Ganoderma lucidum takes about 5-7 months to mature. It’s grown undisturbed on logs high in the Wuyi Mountains of China’s Fuzhou region. When it does mature, it will release spores from the underside of the mushroom and after just a few hours, cover the entire mushroom and the surrounding micro-environment by spores. It takes almost 2000 pounds of spores to make 2 pounds of spore powder. Organic Ganoderma spores are expensive—not just because of their nutrients—but also because harvesting them is a science where everything has to be timed just right.
Ganoderma Reishi Coffee
My favorite way to get Ganoderma into my body is in my Ganoderma latte, using a KING coffee sachet. I choose to use the KING sachets because they contain organic coffee and Ganoderma spores (most beneficial part of the Ganoderma mushroom!).
