WHAT IS HOLISTIC HEALTH?

Holistic Health is defined as a wellness system that addresses the underlying root causes of disease, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both client and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership. It is an evolution in the practice of healing that addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.

HOW WILL LAB TESTS BE PERFORMED?

Amanda will order lab work for you to complete at LabCorp before your Initial Assessment. If it is determined that Functional Medicine labs will be necessary, Amanda will discuss the details of each test she recommends and review the instructions, and cost with you. Functional Medicine labs will be delivered to you and can be done in the privacy of your home. Once completed, the lab(s) will be placed in the prepaid shipping envelope and returned to the lab. 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A VISIT WITH AMANDA?

The Initial Assessment happens in two 45-minute appointments. One 45-minute New Client Consult to go over your health history & toxicity assessment. A second 45-minute Report of Findings to review your lab results, review how the findings correlate with your symptoms, and then create your unique roadmap to healing which can includes diet modifications, detox therapies, lifestyle modifications, and supplementation.

If you are following a program (Flourish or Thrive), you will have one 30-minute follow-up appointment every 4-6 weeks as well as two 10-minute Care Calls for the moments you need more support than a chat message can offer. Amanda will make any necessary changes to your protocol based on symptoms and/or changes in health.

If you are part of a membership (Root or Nurture), you will have either one 10-minute Care Call or one 30-minute appointment each month.

HOW MANY SESSIONS BEFORE I CAN EXPECT TO SEE RESULTS?

This depends greatly on your level of toxicity. Healing is not linear and it takes time. Just as it took time for you to accumulate your symptoms and toxic load, it will take time to restore the body to a state of balance. Amanda often tells client to expect one month of work per year of dis-ease.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY PROTOCOL?

Client protocols and recommendations are bio-individual. They are carefully and thoughtfully created created AFTER a session to determine what personal health practices, supplements, or remedies are best for each client based upon their body’s top priorities for healing. Protocols are usually sent to clients within 24 hours of their appointment.

DO YOU OFFER SUPPORT BETWEEN APPOINTMENTS?

YES! You can send Amanda a message via Voxer for answers to quick questions in between appointment. If your question requires a longer reply, it is best to book a 10-minute Care Call appointment so Amanda can get out your file, review your situation, and answer your questions more thoroughly.

DO YOU RECOMMEND SPECIFIC SUPPLEMENTS?

Yes. All of the supplements recommended are professional grade supplements which have been extensively studied and provide guaranteed ingredients. Supplements can be ordered and shipped directly to you to make it as easy as possible for you.

DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS VIRTUALLY?

100% of AMW clients are virtual!

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

No. AMW is a direct pay practice and does not accept health insurance or provide superbills for your sessions. You will be provided with an invoice which you may submit for reimbursement. AMW accepts cash, card, or payment via apps (Chime, Venmo, Zelle).

CAN I PAY IN INSTALLMENTS?

Clients that opt for 6 month comprehensive health packages do have the option to pay in installments. If you’re enrolled in a membership, there is a rolling monthly charge.

DO YOU WORK WITH MEN? CHILDREN?

While the majority of Amanda’s clients are female, she does have both children and male clients that were referred by their mothers and wives :)

WHY IS THIS TYPE OF HEALTHCARE EXPENSIVE?

Amanda spends 60-90 minutes reviewing assessments, lab results, and health histories before she meets with a new client. She spends time with each client at every visit to know and understand the journey that has led them to seek out help.

The practice is structured so that Amanda consults directly with clients, attends to emails and issues regarding your questions/needs, and will spend multiple hours behind the scenes tailoring the initial wellness plan, and modify the plan throughout your care as needed. 

PCP and specialist visits cost $200-500 and are billed to your insurance. They typically last 5-15 minutes. The medical provider contracts with the insurance company and they receive a small portion of that cost, with the remainder going to the insurance company. This system has led to the chronic disease that we have in America. Amanda is looking to treat the underlying cause and break this cycle of imbalance.

CAN I GET COPIES OF MY LABS?

You will receive a copy of your labs to keep for your records and/or share with your PCP during your consult.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

All sessions, services, labs, Functional Medicine labs, membership sign ups, and courses are non-refundable. All labs must be completed within six months.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Due to the length and complexity of visits, please be courteous and provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. This helps ensure that we can meet the needs of clients who are waiting to get an appointment. Cancellations or no shows within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment, will be charged the full appointment fee.


LATE POLICY

Due to the length of consultations and the amount of information discussed, we must adhere to the time allotted for your appointment to respect the time of the provider and the clients. If you are late to your appointment, there will be less time to go over your medical history and treatment plan. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be rescheduled.
